US Postal Service seeks letter price raise to 78 cents

The U.S. Postal Service is recommending mail and postcard rates be increased about 5 cents to 7 cents, depending on the type of mail.

When does this madness end. The USPS loses BILLIONS every year, and continually all they look at is raising prices. Not advocating, but maybe a separate DOGE team should look at the USPS and figure out where the money is being wasted. Just this morning, a commercial on network TV for the USPS-WHY? Just like PA LCB and EZPASS - These are the epitome of captive audiences and yet Millions of dollars are wasted in advertising each and every year. The PA LCB even uses celebrity endorsers to do commercials. Famous last words- I’m from the Govt and I’m here to help!
Privatize all of them and watch the profits soar.

Give carriers 2 routes and deliver one on MWF and the other on TWS, no-one needs mail everyday anymore. That would be a good start to cutting costs. If you need you mail everyday go to the post office and pick it up.

I’d also like to understand why China can DELIVER a sata cable to my door for 12 cents but I can’t sent it across the street for that.
