A Rochester, New York-area truck company owner got almost four years in prison for lying to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
There are a lot of companies doing this crap, especially out of chicago. It’s always sketch me out when one company hires you and then payroll is done through someone else or the name on the truck doesn’t match.
Loyal-T around Cincinnati has done something pretty similar I’m sure. None of their trucks or trailers are roadworthy. Even had a shop say they refuse to do inspections on them because they’re expected to lie and not fix things
DLC DL Cicko had at least one more name they ran under. He made a mint and went back to Europe i believe.
There’s no saving this sleazy industry
We worked there briefly. We were a team with many years if experience. We had never seen anything like this, no drug test, no road test, picking up and instructed to remove the trailer lock mechanism to add another load, dropping of freight at small warehouses. Having customers call wheres my stuff? No regard for any laws, we left the truck and trailer in front of his warehouse in Rochester keys in it. We were not paid this man is also a thief. A couple weeks later got a call from home depot, where’s our load , we just told them the truth he had us drop it at a warehouse in Arizona. Im happy to see him go to prison.
