Tuesday came, and Terminal managers and staff said it was over. Yet skeleton crews worked Tuesday through Friday doing Call trailers and trap trailers. Everyone who worked that week got paid. Sunday July 2nd there was a notice on the fence saying operation had ceased. No 60 days warning of a closure. Not even a day. The official notice was posted on Sunday as guys came into work for the Sunday graveyard shift. What a cruel joke. This is what wrong with corporate America. 100 year plus company Yellow was. All the hard work your employees served you, and you do that to them. Hell is awaiting for owners like that. JLG #889 Hayward Local #70 Dockworker 20 years.
