I actually was close to crying when I watched his show last nite. I don’t know y . maybe I know we are losing something we don’t want to lose. You stand up to somebody and you lose your job. Colbert was saying basically what many of us are saying. I know the MAGA people out there ae trying to control this country. Maybe the democrats can spring an upset in 2028. J D Vance will be just like trump if he wins. and we’ll have the same dish just warmed up a little bit. Watching the news earlier, sounds like trump has stirred up even the repubs. one senator said it’s like stupid on stilts concerning the slush fund. paying criminals for what they did. It was bad enough they got pardoned, but now they get paid for their criminal activity. I wonder what George Washington would say about this?

He’s been there for a long time. And many of the so called experts say if Paxton wins, as he is now projected, could be beaten by this up and coming democrat James Talarico. He’s picked up a lot of support and money. Texas hasn’t had a repub senator since Lloyd Bentsen left office in 1988 I heard. Even though I like Cornyn, I hope he loses just so trump’s boy might get beat in november. it will serve him right. especially if the trump loses the senate because of it. and you know what they say when you assume something, right?

well it takes 2/3d’s of the senate for an impeachment so the dems would really have to do something really extraordinary for that to happen. but we can dream can’t we?

I’ve known many people who never drank alcohol or smoked that are dead and here I am. still breathing. Not as good as I used to though. I was reading the story about that Nascar driver Kurt Busch and sounds like he ignored many of the signs that he was that sick. He had pneumonia and it led to sepsis which pretty much did him in. I can’t believe nobody picked up on his condition and took him to the doctor.

I agree. He should have been the hospital when he asked to see the doctor at the end of the Watkins Glen race. The doctors seemed to keep disregarding the symptoms.

pneumonia doesn’t just happen overnight. it starts out as a cold and then gets worse and worse. My late Dad died from that. He was trying to fite through it and by the time he told me he was having difficulty breathing, the damage was done. I took him to the doctor and he was admitted to the hospital. X rays showed his lungs were messed up big time. Antibiotics were given to him. They did a scraping of his lungs and performed a tracheotomy on him. Put him on oxygen to help him breathe. He lasted 4 months in the hospital until the drs. said there was no hope so they took him off everything and we let him go. I wish I had been more proactive when he told me he was fighting a cold. I could have taken him to the dr. and they would have found the pneumonia sooner .
