Legislation introduced in Congress could make it more difficult for Mexican and ■■■■■■■■ truckers to get authority to haul to and from the U.S.
Van Duyne is a total clown like her targeting to clock boy whose invention was never a weapon of mass fear
she sounds like a person who has no clue to how that would affect all facts of business.
Thinking that would work is not thinking clearly.
I guess she has never been to a border crossing and saw hundreds of trucks moving goods thru customs and how that works.
So a ■■■■■■■■ driver would have to turn around before entering US customs.
And a US driver would have to do the same.
So what would uou do with the load.
A logistics nightmare.
And people elect these clowns all the time.
Personally, I love clowns
The language of the law requires a foreign driver to acquire a state issued CDL. There is a phase in period. If a trucker and/or his firm want to operate in our country they will need a U.S. CDL. What is the big deal? The big deal, mainly for Mexicans, is they must have language proficiency and state DOTs issuing federal CDLs are monitored bu U.S. authorities.
Except the states will not be allowed to issue CDLs to Mexican drivers because they don’t live in the US. Read the article.
So if a factory in Mexico makes, say, cars, a Mexican trucker will pick up the load, drive it to the border, but be unable to cross. Please show some intelligence.
Logistically this would be a total nightmare, but I can’t blame the administration for at least considering changes to the reciprocity agreement while we in Canada have a big problem with unscrupulous driver training schools issuing fraudulent CDLs by bypassing legal training requirements.
