The only people upset are the companies losing the cheap labor. Non domiciled drivers could be of any race . This has been a long time coming. The megas are the main culprit as they can self certifie the drivers. I find it amusing when the companies come up with the hard working which is code for we can run them to death without complaint. Also big picture the public was against self driving rigs but with the recent crashes it’s definitely going the other way. And who will have the capital investment for the setup. The large trucking companies of course. It’s like the seckler family selling the opiates then opening up treatment centers. As you can see in the comments the only one complaining is a large compy exec and of course she comes up with the race card. And I think 43 years on the road I saw this coming a mile away. It was a good way to make money and raise a family but of course nothing last forever. Rest in peace Mr hoffa .
The main culprit is the US government; they wrote the rule book which “megas” operate within. If you’re upset that non-domiciled drivers “took your jobs”, then you need to take that up with your representatives. I thought it was America first under your boy, Trump? I guess not. He doesn’t care about you or any other American truck driver. I know it’s a hard pill to svvallow, but Trump works for the “megas”, not a r3dneck trailer hopper named Jimmy Mac.
