Layoffs across manufacturing, logistics and transportation have surpassed 4,000 as companies close plants, restructure fulfillment networks and supply chains.

Every job lost is disruptive and hurtful to someone, but if we’re going to go ‘truth telling’ let’s not refer to Ford’s and other large scale layoffs euphemistically. “Pivot” doesn’t quite cut it. We have to remember that this stuff was the result of an irrationally suspect threat to BAN internal combustion engines by an “I don’t care what happens” federal government who foisted an undeveloped technical concept on us all.

Wow, those tariffs are really boosting US manufacturing and transportation. And just wait until we’re successful at harassing enough drivers out of a job as to raise freight rates! Just think of the volumes that will drive…
