To replace the severely congested American Legion Memorial Bridge, the FHWA is seeking private-sector funding models like P3s due to Maryland’s lack of revenue.

I’m a bit worried that one solution might digress into a monopoly situation for whoever sponsors that project.
Let’s just use an electronic fare system like all the other smooth-running countries do and let businesses vote by profit which way they will run their routes or if the current route is all we can afford. I haven’t ai searched for studies on this. Maybe a follow up journalistic search?
