Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy threatened to withhold $50 million from North Carolina after an audit found the state illegally issued over half of its foreign driver CDLs.
The state of NC would not agree with Mr. Duffy.
I am sure our state is pulling up evidence that backs up our CDL Authority and our NCDMV that immigrant driver from other nation are US and NC Citizens, are legal with their green card and up to date on their cards.
Wrecks were not their fault. We have animals that jump in front of trucks, school buses, and if that was not the case the law enforcement report and the court dockets will say otherwise. Most of them I’m sure has outstanding records on safe travel to and from deliveries within less than a hour. Retail businesses and distributors has electronic documented proof and possibly paper documented proof. Rest areas has proof that immigrant truck drivers drive in a stay for awhile…
What I am trying to say is Mr. Duffy and our U.S. President will lose this case and U.S. funding will continue to flow into our NC State Treasury Bank Account for CDLs. and Duffy will apologize, and our President also.
Sure hope this.issue gets resolved quick.Like most CDL holders here in NC,I am an american citizen.born in this country and an NC resident.We cant have our licences in jeoperdy,due to a bunch of illeagal drivers and loopholes that allow them to obtain a CDL.Lets resolve this so the rest of us honest,hard working american drivers can sleep at night.
Speak for yourself little guy. I am a 8th Gen NC resident. I am glad they are taking this action against our ■■■■■ Gov. We cant have illegal immigrants driving trucks. We also have way too many of them in WNC. Deport them all.
Green card holders are not citizens, that’s why they have green cards. You Misty not be a cdl holder because of you were you would see that they have no idea what they are doing when driving a commercial vehicle. 29 years i have been on the road and in the last 5 years these illegal cdl holders cause more wrecks than I’ve seen since i have been driving. Shippers complain they can’t communicate with them. They can’t read road signs they are a hazard to the drivers in the united states.
It doesn’t matter who’s at fault. Illegal is Illegal.
Yeah I highly doubt your name is Timothy James Leary or whatever. Your syntax screams that English is not your native language, making YOU more than likely part of this absolutely 100% REAL problem. I was just speaking with someone recently who knew about 4 women who were traveling down in eastern North Carolina who were all 4 slaughtered by some punk from El Salvador who was illegally (though he was technically in possession of one of these very ill-gotten CDL licenses this article and thankfully the DOT mentioned and are aware of) driving and texting or playing some game on his phone when he rear-ended their vehicle, pushing them over an embankment and into a ravine, like I said, slaughtering all 4 of these poor innocent souls. Sh1t’s gotta stop and it’s gotta stop RIGHT NOW.
