The U.S. government has withheld millions in truck safety funds from California for missing a deadline to cancel thousands of CDLs issued to foreign nationals.

This seems so â– â– â– â–  to pull safety funding while crying about safety. Bait and switch priorities to cover their blanket discriminatory practices? Who are they fooling?

Great. If we could quit paying taxes to support foreigners, truck drivers’ salaries could go up.

The state of California collects nearly $8 BILLION annually in state gas taxes, plus another roughly $0.50 PER GALLON in environmental taxes levied on refineries, and passed to consumers at the pumps. Where is all of this tax money going? $160 million in fed money is a drop in the bucket!

lol, asking the DMV to do something and giving them a deadline is funny. They are very slow and their system is very outdated. I don’t doubt that they don’t even know where to start.

Subject: Secretary Duffy Now has a DUTY to Decertify CA DMV’s Authority to Issue CDLs

Mr. Barrs,

SBTC noticed today’s Final Determination of Non-Compliance issued to CA pursuant to 49 USC Chapter 313.

transportation.gov/sites/dot.gov/…

As referenced in our Inside Trucking Episode 8, youtu.be/t2L960GG_SE, and in our October 16, 2025 email below to Secretary Duffy, copied here, the Secretary now has a mandatory duty to Decertify CA DMV under 49 USC § 31312.

(a)In General.—If the Secretary of Transportation determines that a State is in substantial noncompliance with this chapter, the Secretary shall issue an order to—
(1) prohibit that State from carrying out licensing procedures under this chapter; and
(2) prohibit that State from issuing any commercial driver’s licenses until such time the Secretary determines such State is in substantial compliance with this chapter (emphasis added).

Please note this decision is not discretionary.

In furtherance of our attached May 27, 2025 Petition for Decertification, we request that FMCSA please do so at this time.

Please advise the FMCSA’s intentions via email within the next 10 days so that we may know how to proceed.

Thank you.

Illegal Alien Invaders saturate OTR trucking stealing previouly well paid jobs, plunging rates, ignoring common sense laws, falsifying log books, ignoring rules of the road, operating poorly maintained and often faulty equipment, causing fatal at fault traffic collisions and the list goes on. Finally the federal governement is following the law and current administration is upholding their oath.

It appears north carolina and california will both have issues from the f m c s a, i Was recently at a facility in Rockford , illinois, there were several teams driving commercial vehicles that did not speak English.I would assume that sort of like having really horrible vision and not having glasses…
