Too many companies still pay experienced drivers strictly by CPM while freight rates can run $3–$6 per mile, depending on the load and market. Company drivers are the ones actually moving the freight, carrying the responsibility, and spending weeks away from home. Pay should reflect that value. A structure of 30% of linehaul revenue would better reflect today’s higher cost of living, rising fuel costs, and the real value drivers bring to the freight industry.
Example if a Company Driver is issued a load that cost $3,000.00 - 30% of that load would pay the driver $900.00 to run that 500 miles -
But instead these Corporations are paying company drivers below 70 cents per mile driving a 500’mile trip only pays them $350.00 versus getting paid $900.00 big Difference isn’t it!!
