A federal bankruptcy court has been asked to approve settle agreements between Yellow Corp. and two groups of mostly nonunion employees who were given shortened layoff notifications.

I worked at Yellow #889 Hayward as a Local #70 dockworker that last week. Pickups and deliveries went out Monday as usual after the “medical deadline “ was passed over the weekend. Then the wheels came off the train Tuesday (Union Negotiations with the company) they never met again. Tuesday through Friday, operations did still function but mostly trapped freight and Call trailers. We were told we would get paid for that week and we did indeed. No official notice of a company closure came until a posted notice on the outside parking lot fence the following Sunday. No WARN ACT notice! No verbal or written notice by management. This article sounds like the lawyers and judges as always have screwed over the Union working man once again.
