Truck drivers describe being pressured to operate in unsafe environments and explain what drivers can do when safety is put at risk.

Im curious as to what the “other” agencies did regarding employee complaints. My bet is nothing was done, obviously a phone call was made to Sysco saying hey this list of employees is contacting us. The public should know this case is extremely mild. Its idustry wide and the bigger the company the larger and more frequent the infractions are. Im semi-retited truck dfiver who has been fired, threatened and even assaulted in a rest area after i said i was out of drinivg hours. Kuddos to the employees and their legal represdntatio.

I haven’t ever worked for a company that doesn’t push you to cut corners, affecting the safety of everyone and breaking the law. They don’t care, And if you do it, and are caught, they’ll claim they had no idea and it was all you.

Their all the same for the most part. Have safety meetings, make you watch videos every month about pre-trip and post-trip inspections and then when you say something about an unsafe tractor or trailer, well…take it on down the road. I think I’m just done with it. Very few decent companies left to work for at my age. They really dont want safe drivers, just ignorant steering wheel holders.
